BIOS: Baffin Island Oil Spill Project

In a remote coastal environment of northern Baffin Island, multidisciplinary scientific investigations were conducted from 1980 to 1983. Experimental releases of crude oil and chemically dispersed oil were monitored to quantify and assess the short-term and long-term fate of spilled oil and its effects on near-shore marine plants and lower animals, and to determine the effectiveness of shoreline cleanup techniques. - OUT OF STOCK
