Abstract

This Code of Practice outlines best practices to reduce fugitive emissions of total particulate matter (TPM) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the iron, steel and ilmenite sector. The sector is subdivided into three sub-sectors: integrated mills, mini-mills and ilmenite smelting facilities. These recommended practices can be used by the steel industry, regulatory agencies and the general public as sources of technical and policy guidance but do not negate any regulatory requirements.
