This report summarizes the results of the final round of multi-stakeholder consultations on amendments to EIHWR. Next steps for the development of the regulation include an internal workshop to consider the results of this consultation as well as implementation and enforcement issues, preparation of drafting instruction based on the decisions taken on key issues by Environment Canada staff, and following preparation of the draft regulation, posting of the Gazette 1 version some time in late 2003. This consultation will result in improvements to the language, approaches taken, and implementation of this regulation and the participation and contributions of all stakeholders is greatly appreciated.
