Regulations Amending the Ozone-depleting Substances Regulations, 1998 (SOR/SOR/2007-129)
The purpose of the Regulations Amending the Ozone-depleting Substances Regulations, 1998 (the "amendments"), is to add flexibility within the Ozone-depleting Substances Regulations, 1998 (the "Regulations") to allow transfers or exchange of permits or quantities of methyl bromide among companies that have been granted critical or emergency use exemptions in a given year. The amendments also supplement Environment Canada's monitoring capability with permit requirements for the use of methyl bromide, in addition to the existing import permits.
