Regulations Amending the Sulphur in Diesel Fuel Regulations (SOR/2005-305)

The purpose of the Regulations Amending the Sulphur in Diesel Fuel Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the "amending Regulations") is to reduce harmful emissions from diesel-powered engines and equipment used in off-road applications (such as construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment) and rail and marine applications (such as locomotives and marine vessels). The amending Regulations establish limits for sulphur levels in diesel fuel produced, imported or sold for these uses.
