Activity Number 15 - Mapping
Goal
To locate and name major geographic features, bodies of water and communities in your region.
Materials
- Copies of the blank map for your area
- Atlas (optional)
- Copies of the appropriate list of major features and communities from the tablebelow
Method
Provide each student with a copy of the map and the list for your area. Ask them to locate the features and communities on the map. If your community does not happen to be on the list, have them correctly place it on the map as well.
