Transboundary Partnerships
A Joint Statement of Cooperation on the Georgia Basin and Puget Sound Ecosystem was signed by the Minister of Environment, Government of Canada and the Administrator, Environmental Protection Agency Region 10 on January 19, 2000. The SOC addressed three key areas of the ecosystem:
- Transboundary Air Quality
- Engaging Coast Salish First Nations and Tribes
- Information sharing about smart growth and sustainability
